Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Erik Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams's entrance music is FlipSyde - Champion . A fine choice. Mir has chosen Sub-Mission as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Erik Williams!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Cain Mir!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams checks a low kick from Mir.
Mir lands a head kick. Williams smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Williams leaves Mir with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mir tries to clinch but Williams moves out of range.

Mir does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Mir has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mir there as he acknowledges the shot.
Mir shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Williams defends it nicely.

Mir feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Mir turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mir manages to end up in side control.

Williams parries the strikes from Mir easily there. Mir is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Williams to escape.
