Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aries Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tang Maytsimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos comes to the cage accompanied by Oh Lets Do it by waka flocka flame. Tang Maytsimoto has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Maytsimoto.
Maytsimoto misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Santos.
Maytsimoto throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Maytsimoto shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Maytsimoto drops Santos with a beautiful combination! Santos stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Maytsimoto is looking for the KO!


It looks like Aries Santos has been cut.

Maytsimoto lands a nice shot that snaps Santos's head back.

Maytsimoto cracks Santos with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Maytsimoto has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Santos to stand back up!

Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Maytsimoto swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Maytsimoto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Santos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Maytsimoto can do anything to dispel that myth.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Maytsimoto lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Santos circles away quickly and effectively.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Maytsimoto, as that shot connected.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Santos closes the distance and clinches up with Maytsimoto, looking for a takedown. Santos pushes Maytsimoto against the cage but Maytsimoto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Santos takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

I think Maytsimoto has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
