Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Smith!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Smith lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kinnunen doesn't seem phased though.
Kinnunen closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Kinnunen pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch but Kinnunen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Smith throws a head kick that Kinnunen semi-blocks.
It looks like Leif Kinnunen has been cut.
Kinnunen feints and as Smith raises his hands in defense, Kinnunen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kinnunen looking to pass the guard.
Kinnunen drops back, looking for a kneebar! Smith looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Smith looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Smith!
Kinnunen misses with a strike from the bottom.
Kinnunen regains half guard.
Kinnunen gets back to full guard.
Smith wants to control from the top but Kinnunen keeps moving.
Smith advances position into side control!

Smith is looking to take a break and control but Kinnunen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kinnunen is looking to regain half guard here but Smith keeps moving and retains side control.
Kinnunen is breathing heavily.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Smith throws a head kick but Kinnunen moves out of range.
Kinnunen shoots for a takedown but Smith saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Smith is looking to land body kicks.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Smith gets a clinch.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Smith.
Smith works on Kinnunen's body with a couple of short punches.
Smith tries to land knees in the clinch but Kinnunen avoids the damage to the body.
Kinnunen has clasped his hands together around Smith's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Smith prevents Kinnunen from moving into mount.
Kinnunen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kinnunen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Smith is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kinnunen connects with a decent elbow.
Kinnunen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Smith knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Kinnunen tries to move to full mount but Smith actually manages to regain half guard.
Smith is defending against the submission attempts here by Kinnunen.

Kinnunen is looking for a kimura but Smith is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kinnunen to get the leverage.

Smith holds of for dear life.
Kinnunen connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Smith is looking to improve his position but Kinnunen isn't that keen on the idea.

Kinnunen is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kinnunen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kinnunen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kinnunen in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Smith tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Kinnunen!
