Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damarcus DeVonte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DeVonte comes into the arena with Dollars and Sense - DJ Quik blaring out of the sound system. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young shoots in but DeVonte avoids the takedown attempt easily.
DeVonte dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Young is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by DeVonte.
DeVonte throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Young on the side of the head.
Young moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Young looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? DeVonte is fending him off so far but Young persists. Nope, DeVonte circles away and we're back to standing.
DeVonte feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Young is pressed up against the cage. DeVonte has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Young down to the mat. Young avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

DeVonte uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Young.
Young scores with a one two! DeVonte had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Young is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Young dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on DeVonte. That did some damage!

Damarcus DeVonte overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
