Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucifer Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Reeves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reeves is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Set to Fail - Lamb of God. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jacob Reeves was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reeves throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Reeves throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Maia sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Reeves lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

It looks like Lucifer Maia has been cut.
Reeves throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Reeves throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Reeves throws a right hand that Maia ducks under and follows up with a left that Maia also avoids with ease.
Maia falls off balance throwing a combination
and Reeves counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Reeves gets caught flat footed, as Maia shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Reeves pushes Maia off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Reeves fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Reeves scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Reeves misses with a series of wild punches.
Reeves throws a right and a left that both miss.
Maia fails with the takedown
and Reeves counters with a lovely straight right hand!

That's one minute gone in the round.
No joy there for Reeves, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A punch combination from Reeves misses.
Reeves lands with an uppercut that bounces Maia off the cage and back into rage.
Reeves connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Maia momentarily.
Reeves scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Maia fails with the takedown
and Reeves cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Lucifer Maia's cut is getting worse.
Reeves lands a jab to the nose.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A nice combination there by Reeves.
Maia is breathing heavily.
Reeves scores with a hook to the body. Maia takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Reeves sends Maia crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Reeves is motioning to the referee to let Maia up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Maia is rocked!

Lucifer Maia's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Jacob Reeves is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Reeves has cracked Maia with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Reeves lands another huge swinging hook and Maia tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Maia, before Reeves can land any more shots!
