Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buddy Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerald Hacker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hacker has chosen We Takin Over as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buddy Austin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gerald Hacker!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin takes a kick to the side of the head.
Austin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hacker tries to avoid it but Austin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hacker to the ground. Hacker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Buddy Austin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Austin misses with a low kick as Hacker jumps back.
Nice takedown defense from Hacker. No joy for Austin on that attempt.
Austin misses with a takedown attempt - Hacker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Austin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hacker keeps working.

Austin is working for a kimura but Hacker is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hacker stalks Austin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Austin's face. Austin staggers backwards, shaken.
Austin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hacker as he avoids it easily.

Hacker fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Austin is out of range.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hacker stuffs the takedown attempt from Austin. Austin gets slowly back to his feet.
Austin misses with a takedown attempt - Hacker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hacker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Austin.
Hacker connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Austin's hands.
Buddy Austin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Hacker leaves Austin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Hacker slaps away a takedown attempt from Austin, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Austin closes the distance and clinches up with Hacker, looking for a takedown. Austin pushes Hacker against the cage but Hacker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Austin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hacker avoids it really well and circles away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hacker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gerald Hacker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hacker's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

and Hacker counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

and Hacker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Austin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hacker counters with an outside leg kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
Gerald Hacker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hacker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
