Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Latrice Poole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and simon yo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poole fails in his attempt to clinch.
Poole moves out of range as yo throws a body kick.

yo has taken the fight to the clinch.

yo gets control of Poole's arms and successfully pulls guard. yo will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
yo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

yo is working an open guard so Poole takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Poole shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as yo sprawls well. yo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Poole gets slowly back to his feet.

yo decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Poole, up you get!
yo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Poole moves into the clinch.

yo gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

yo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Poole is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of yo, into his guard.
yo looks gassed!

Poole throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as yo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
yo looking for a sweep. Not yet yo, not yet.
Poole trying to control but yo is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Poole wants to stand but yo is controlling his posture from full guard.
Poole postures up in yo's guard and throws a big left but yo blocks it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

yo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Poole manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Poole avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
yo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Poole throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
yo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Poole swivels though and keeps the full guard.
