Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Francisco Frankelstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keijo Kurko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Francisco Frankelstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Keijo Kurko!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frankelstein cracks Kurko with a big right hand and Kurko goes down!


It looks like Keijo Kurko has been cut.
Kurko looking to hit a scissor sweep but Frankelstein is one step ahead there.
Frankelstein has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Kurko has his foot on Frankelstein's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Frankelstein works his way back into a safe position though.
Kurko wants to sweep here but Frankelstein controlling him for the moment.

Kurko looking for a guillotine here but Frankelstein defends easily.

Kurko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Frankelstein can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kurko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Frankelstein would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kurko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Frankelstein can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Frankelstein knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kurko on the ground.
Kurko has a closed guard, preventing Frankelstein from standing up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kurko keeping busy on the bottom but Frankelstein has passed one foot through into half guard.
Frankelstein wants to stand up but Kurko is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frankelstein throws a nice looking combination but Kurko bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Frankelstein gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Frankelstein wants to stand up but Kurko is controlling him.

Kurko stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Frankelstein throws a leg kick but Kurko sees it coming and moves out of range.

Nice jab there from Frankelstein.
No joy there for Frankelstein, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kurko is breathing heavily.
Kurko throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Frankelstein because Kurko loaded up on that one.

Frankelstein is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Kurko wants to finish this one by submission but Frankelstein is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kurko.
Frankelstein really wants to buck Kurko off and get back to his feet.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Kurko trying to control but Frankelstein is having none of it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Frankelstein is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keijo Kurko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kurko tries to clinch up.
Frankelstein throws a series of punches but Kurko moves out of range.
Frankelstein throws a solid leg kick but Kurko takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Frankelstein.
Kurko fails with the takedown.
Kurko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Frankelstein but Frankelstein pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Frankelstein lands with a nice combination. Kurko backs away looking to recover.
Frankelstein throws a series of punches but Kurko moves out of range.
Frankelstein looks to land a right hand but Kurko moved out of range.
Kurko moves away from the strike by Frankelstein.
Kurko shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Kurko tries to bum rush Frankelstein with a series of wild strikes but Frankelstein uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kurko checks a leg kick.

Kurko fails with the takedown.
Frankelstein moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kurko.
Kurko takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Good exchange - Frankelstein coming out on top.

and Kurko counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Frankelstein wants to get back to his feet but Kurko is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kurko wants to stand but Frankelstein is controlling his posture from full guard.
Kurko tries to free his leg and advance position but Frankelstein is retaining full guard.

Frankelstein keeping moving, preventing Kurko from controlling successfully.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kurko postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Frankelstein throws a nice looking combination but Kurko bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kurko shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Frankelstein as he jumps to the side.

Kurko avoids a punch combination nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
Francisco Frankelstein showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Frankelstein has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
