Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Semmence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MAX PAIN (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MAX PAIN has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from PAIN is defended easily by Semmence.

PAIN moves into range and clinches up with Semmence.
Semmence gets underhooks to prevent PAIN's takedown attempt.
Semmence is trying to drag PAIN to the mat but PAIN just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

PAIN escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
PAIN uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Semmence.
PAIN fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ryan Semmence has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of MAX PAIN.

PAIN shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. PAIN showed some decent athleticism there.
Semmence is looking for a sweep. PAIN is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Semmence has a hand on PAIN's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. PAIN takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

PAIN can't control as he wanted to and Semmence manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
PAIN wants to free his trapped foot but Semmence is holding on for dear life with his legs.

PAIN is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Semmence will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
PAIN is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Semmence shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Semmence showed some decent athleticism there.
PAIN is not content to let Semmence control the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Semmence is keen to just control but PAIN is a slippery customer.

Semmence decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Semmence bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Semmence decides to stand up, so the ref orders PAIN to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
PAIN keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Semmence's head.

Semmence is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst PAIN is controlling him.

PAIN lands a couple of decent looking shots.
PAIN wants to control from the top but Semmence keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

PAIN shoots in and bounces Semmence off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ryan Semmence will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

PAIN darts in and clinches Semmence up against the cage.
Semmence jumps guard but PAIN stands there with Semmence around his waist. Semmence gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
PAIN wants to get back to striking at distance but Semmence won't allow it.
PAIN trying to control the position but instead, Semmence has worked for underhooks and has pushed PAIN into the cage.

Semmence tightens his grip and picks PAIN up, before dumping him to the ground. PAIN manages to land in guard.
Semmence is looking to stand up but PAIN won't let him.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now PAIN is on top in guard.
PAIN takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

PAIN wants to lay and pray for a moment but Semmence keeps working.
PAIN stalling away here and it's allowed Semmence to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Semmence pushes PAIN off and gets back to his feet.

and PAIN moves into the clinch.

Semmence's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
PAIN fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Semmence dives in and grabs PAIN's left leg, looking for a takedown. PAIN pushes down on Semmence's head and hops out.

PAIN shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Semmence napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fight stays on the outside here - PAIN looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Semmence decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in PAIN's guard.
PAIN not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
PAIN throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

PAIN looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
PAIN is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Semmence, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
