Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between TYSON MILLAR (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Kita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, TYSON MILLAR!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michal Kita!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kita fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. MILLAR sprawls well initially but Kita persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
MILLAR gets full guard.
Kita must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kita throwing strikes but missing.
MILLAR working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kita.
MILLAR preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Kita trying to move into half guard but instead MILLAR has managed to sweep!

MILLAR stands up from Kita's guard - MILLAR perhaps looking for a knockout.
MILLAR lands with a kick to the temple. Kita shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like Michal Kita has been cut.
MILLAR fails with the takedown

and Kita counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kita working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
MILLAR trying to keep a closed guard but Kita is proving a slippery customer.
MILLAR bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kita's guard.

Kita avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
MILLAR trying to control the position from guard on top but Kita is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kita wants to sweep here but MILLAR controlling him for the moment.

MILLAR drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and MILLAR jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kita keeping moving, preventing MILLAR from controlling successfully.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
MILLAR is looking to clinch but Kita is avoiding it.

MILLAR is breathing heavily.
Kita is nestled in close to MILLAR, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Kita not landing any meaningful shots this time.
MILLAR tries to roll over but Kita keeps him under control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kita lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kita lands a nice short elbow.
Kita really doesn't want to stay on the ground with MILLAR. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

MILLAR is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kita scores with a couple of nice shots.
Kita should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

MILLAR makes his way to full guard. A much better position for MILLAR.
Kita won't allow MILLAR to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

MILLAR is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kita defends well.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Kita looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kita looks to land a strike but MILLAR avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Kita is looking to work some ground and pound but MILLAR has wrist control.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kita's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now MILLAR is on top in guard.
MILLAR lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
MILLAR advances to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
MILLAR is pressing down on Kita's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kita is holding on for now.
Kita tries to roll over but MILLAR keeps him under control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kita can do anything to dispel that myth.
MILLAR wants to stand up but Kita is controlling the position.
MILLAR wants to pass the guard but Kita is defending well.
Kita is refusing to be controlled, as MILLAR sits in half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Kita bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

MILLAR pushes Kita away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kita gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

MILLAR takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Kita is nestled in close to MILLAR, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
MILLAR is trying to control but can't.
Kita misses with a head shot. MILLAR uses the momentum to regain guard.
Kita throws a strike but MILLAR rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kita has his hands on MILLAR's head, controlling the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kita looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
MILLAR passes into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Kita is defending against the submission attempts here by MILLAR.
It looks like MILLAR is going to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michal Kita showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Kita closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. MILLAR did well to prevent Kita getting side control.

Kita slips a nice elbow through MILLAR's hands, connecting with MILLAR's forehead.
Kita scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
MILLAR gets full guard.
MILLAR lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kita!

MILLAR wants to finish this one by submission but Kita is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from MILLAR.
Kita is squirming around, avoiding MILLAR's attempts to control the action.

Kita wants to hold on but MILLAR pushes him away.
MILLAR tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
MILLAR lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Kita tries to get back to half guard but can't.
BOOM! MILLAR connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kita throws a strike but has given up his back in the process.
MILLAR trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
MILLAR controlling the position well here. Kita rolled but MILLAR kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Kita tries to escape but MILLAR has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - MILLAR's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
MILLAR missing with strikes from the back.
Kita is taking damage to the body and head.
TYSON MILLAR has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
MILLAR has the hooks in. Kita is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
MILLAR scores with strikes from the back.

MILLAR has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Kita has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Kita trying to control the action but MILLAR just sinks the hooks in.

And that's the end of the fight!

I think Kita has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
