Filipovic kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Duran Duran. Nikisch is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hero by Skillet. Art Nikisch is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nikisch closes the distance and clinches.
Filipovic tries to break the clinch but Nikisch is controlling the position.

Filipovic is looking to break free of the clinch but Nikisch has double underhooks.

Nikisch has Filipovic pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Filipovic manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Nikisch lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Nikisch tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Nikisch bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Filipovic's guard.

Nikisch throwing shots but Filipovic is blocking nicely.

Nikisch has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Filipovic's face.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
