Baker kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Eye of the Tiger. Joe Baker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baker fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stone sprawls well initially but Baker persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stone tries to roll over but Baker keeps him under control.
Baker missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Stone tries to get to full guard but Baker has control of the leg.
Baker wants to free his trapped foot but Stone is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Baker throwing shots but Stone is blocking nicely.
Stone on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Stone tries to roll over but Baker keeps him under control.
Stone trying to hold on to Baker's head to control him but Baker postures up.
Stone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Stone misses with the combination.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Baker, as that shot connected.
Stone lands a head kick!
Baker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stone.
Stone gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Baker.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Baker misses with a double jab

and Stone counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Stone looking to finish!

Baker is rocked!
Stone trying to control but Baker is working from the bottom.
Oh Baker is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Baker trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Baker trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Baker lands an upkick as Stone stands over him.
Baker seems to have got his legs back now.
Baker doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Stone is sitting in close to Baker's body. Baker has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Stone is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Stone is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Baker.
