Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masaharu Homma!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Homma.
Erickson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Homma sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Erickson somewhat.
Erickson closes the distance and clinches up with Homma, looking for a takedown. Erickson pushes Homma against the ropes but Homma circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
An inside leg kick lands from Homma.
Erickson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Homma but Homma pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marshal Erickson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
