Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Takanoro Yoshita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filipe Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Filipe Mendes is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshita wants to clinch up but Mendes keeps it at a distance.
Yoshita is looking to land body kicks.
Yoshita misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Yoshita tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mendes swivels and escapes.

Mendes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yoshita's waist but Yoshita gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mendes off to one side.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Yoshita postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Yoshita is fighting to break Mendes's control of his arms but Mendes is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Mendes doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Yoshita is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Mendes has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Yoshita is looking to defend but Mendes has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Yoshita! Mendes pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Yoshita taps out and this one is all over!
