Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paavo Penttinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penttinen's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Layla. Tom Smith told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Penttinen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Smith looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Penttinen is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Penttinen lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Smith or not.

Penttinen moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Smith drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Smith stops Penttinen from standing up.
Penttinen wants to sweep but no luck.
Penttinen is pulling down on Smith's head to control his posture.
Penttinen on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Penttinen tries to get out of the position.
Penttinen is trying to keep Smith in close.
Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Penttinen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Smith shoots in but no luck this time.
Penttinen cracks Smith with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Penttinen has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Smith to stand back up!

Paavo Penttinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Penttinen darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Smith's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Penttinen before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
