Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nate Emerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nate Emerson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luke Lee!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emerson slaps away a takedown attempt from Lee, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Emerson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Emerson trying to control the action but Lee is working from the bottom.
Emerson tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Emerson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lee knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lee has one of Emerson's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

Emerson tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Lee is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Lee is trying is best to control the position here.
Lee is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lee controlling the position for now.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Lee wants to control but Emerson is keeping busy.
Emerson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lee knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Lee works his way to full guard. Good work.

Lee pulls Emerson in close to prevent any damage.
Emerson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lee is proving hard to escape from.

Emerson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Lee seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Emerson postures up in Lee's guard and throws a big left but Lee blocks it.

Lee has a closed guard, preventing Emerson from standing up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Emerson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Lee counters with a single leg into guard. Emerson didn't expect that.

Lee loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Lee is in close to Emerson's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Emerson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Luke Lee dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Emerson moves in looking to clinch but Lee pushes him off.
Lee connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Lee lands an overhand right.
Lee gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Emerson finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Emerson throws a big shot that misses.
Lee scores with a hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Danga de danga de dang - Emerson scores with a four punch combination!
Horrible takedown by Lee or perhaps it was just good defense by Emerson which made him look bad.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lee scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Emerson is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Lee can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
