Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Doorman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benito Camelas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Doorman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Benito Camelas!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Camelas shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Camelas looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Doorman wants to get back to full guard.
Doorman looks like he's trying to stand up.
Doorman wants to control but Camelas is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Doorman misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Doorman wants to improve his position but Camelas is controlling well.
Doorman is looking to escape.

Doorman tries to get to full guard but Camelas has control of the leg.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Camelas throws a sloppy head kick and Doorman moves out of range easily.
Doorman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Camelas sprawls well. Camelas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Doorman gets slowly back to his feet.
Doorman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Camelas misses with the combination.
Camelas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Doorman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Doorman moves in looking to clinch but Camelas pushes him off.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Doorman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Camelas as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Doorman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Camelas circles away from the clinch attempt.
Camelas fails with the takedown
and Doorman counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Camelas thinking.
Camelas tries a head kick but it misses.
Doorman tries to clinch up.
Doorman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Camelas avoids it really well and circles away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Doorman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Doorman shoots in for a double leg but Camelas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Camelas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Doorman counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Camelas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Doorman.

Camelas shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Doorman napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Camelas has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Doorman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Camelas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Camelas shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Camelas was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Doorman is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Camelas controlling the position easily from mount.

Doorman is trying to escape the mount.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Camelas lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Doorman hang on?
Doorman can't escape the position.
Camelas throwing strikes here but Doorman is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Benito Camelas dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Excellent takedown into side control there by Doorman.
Camelas is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Camelas stops Doorman from passing to mount.
Doorman is looking to take a break and control but Camelas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Doorman in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Camelas is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
