Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zacharius Pendragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack James has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zacharius Pendragon!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pendragon is looking to clinch but James is avoiding it.
Pendragon looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Pendragon takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
James explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
James fails with the takedown.
Pendragon on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
James moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Zacharius Pendragon has been cut.

James throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pendragon was covering up waiting for the punch and James finishes the takedown easily into guard.
James trying to control but Pendragon is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

James decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
The fighters circle momentarily. James darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
James misses with a two punch combination.
James throws a sloppy head kick and Pendragon moves out of range easily.
James moves into range and connects with a jab.

James feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

James stands up from Pendragon's guard - James perhaps looking for a knockout.
Pendragon dives in and grabs James's left leg, looking for a takedown. James pushes down on Pendragon's head and hops out.
James closes the distance and clinches up with Pendragon, looking for a takedown. James pushes Pendragon against the cage but Pendragon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pendragon ducks right into an uppercut from James.

James closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pendragon to the mat! Pendragon manages to get full guard.

Pendragon has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes James off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
James tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pendragon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten James somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack James. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pendragon tries to clinch up but James circles away and keeps his distance.

James darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
James looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pendragon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Pendragon is trying to stand.

Pendragon is looking to control James's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pendragon avoid being mounted?

Pendragon is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute James jumps into side control!

James stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Pendragon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pendragon wants it to stay on the feet.
James tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pendragon swivels and escapes.
Pendragon throws a right and a left that James avoids nicely.
A slapping leg kick lands for Pendragon.

James wants to break free but Pendragon has control.
James prevents Pendragon from breaking the clinch.

Pendragon is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. James can't fight it off and eventually Pendragon manages to take the fight to the floor. James looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pendragon throws a strike but James rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

James passes Pendragon's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Pendragon looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Pendragon is looking to improve his position.
Pendragon is trying to maintain the position but James is very close to passing his half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
James working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

James will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pendragon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from James.

Pendragon gets in close and instigates a clinch.
James tries to pull guard but Pendragon won't allow it.

James shoots in and drives through. Pendragon sprawls well.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

James throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pendragon counters with a series of strikes. James will be more careful next time no doubt.

Pendragon shoots in but no luck this time.

Pendragon misses with the ground and pound.
Pendragon looking to control but instead James has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Pendragon working over James with some ground and pound. James looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Pendragon throwing shots but James is blocking nicely.

Jack James overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Pendragon is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and James defends it well.

Pendragon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but James avoids it really well and circles away.

James throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pendragon's waist but Pendragon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing James off to one side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

James goes for a takedown attempt but Pendragon pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
James avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
James bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Pendragon tries to clinch up but James circles away and keeps his distance.

Zacharius Pendragon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! James's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


James misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
James leaves Pendragon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

James moves in looking to clinch but Pendragon pushes him off.
James buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Pendragon thows a body shot but no joy.
James throws a series of punches but Pendragon avoids them all with ease.
Nice takedown defense from James. No joy for Pendragon on that attempt.

Pendragon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
James wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Check out the look on Pendragon's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
James is not content to let Pendragon control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
James managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Pendragon.

Pendragon is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, James has escaped the position, nice work there.
Pendragon grinds an elbow into James's temple.
Pendragon throws a strike aimed at the side of James's head but James avoids it well.

Pendragon decides to take the fight back to the feet.
James throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Pendragon is looking to clinch but James is avoiding it.

James misses with a series of wild punches.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Pendragon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

No luck for Pendragon with that takedown attempt.
Jack James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zacharius Pendragon.
Pendragon throws a lazy right hand but James sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
James is looking to clinch.

James closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Pendragon is trying to control but can't.
Pendragon looks like he's trying to stand up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pendragon swats away the attempt to clinch by James.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
James is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pendragon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Pendragon is looking to clinch but James is avoiding it.

James shoots in and bounces Pendragon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
James stands up over Pendragon, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Pendragon is working an open guard so James takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Pendragon tries to clinch up.
Crunch! James slams his shin into Pendragon's torso.
James looks to land a combination but Pendragon avoids it well.
A combination from James does no damage.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Zacharius Pendragon.
I think Pendragon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
