The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sclerosis tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Johnson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sclerosis is fending him off so far but Johnson persists. Nope, Sclerosis circles away and we're back to standing.

Sclerosis gets caught flat footed, as Johnson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sclerosis sprawls well. Sclerosis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
Sclerosis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Johnson on the side of the head.

Johnson feints and as Sclerosis raises his hands in defense, Johnson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Johnson closes the distance and clinches up with Sclerosis, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes Sclerosis against the cage but Sclerosis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Billiary Sclerosis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Johnson.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sclerosis napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Sclerosis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground.
Johnson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Sclerosis sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Johnson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Sclerosis takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Johnson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sclerosis has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Johnson but great work by Sclerosis.
Johnson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
