The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hardy looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hardy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lesnar's half guard.
Lesnar is trying to stand up here but Hardy is controlling him well.
Hardy slows the pace down in half guard.
Hardy tries to pass to full mount but Lesnar defends it.

Hardy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Hardy throws a shot from downtown. Lesnar moves away and avoids it.

Lesnar gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hardy to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Hardy sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lesnar's guard.

You get the feeling that Lesnar really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Hardy lands a nice shot to the head.

Lesnar is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Hardy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lesnar for as long as he can get away with.
Lesnar tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Hardy lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hardy is landing with some decent strikes but Lesnar is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Lesnar is bucking up trying to escape but Hardy cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Lesnar is still in real trouble! Can Hardy finish him?
Hardy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Hardy cracks Lesnar with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
