Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Damian Kaia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leroy Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leroy Hunt has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Damian Kaia's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt shoots in for a takedown but Kaia shows good takedown defense.

Kaia gets a takedown into half guard.

Kaia is looking for a kimura but Hunt is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kaia to get the leverage.
Hunt should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Kaia tries to pass to full mount but Hunt defends it.
Kaia will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kaia is working for a kimura but Hunt is defending it quite comfortably.

Kaia is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hunt defends it well.
Hunt is not content to let Kaia control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hunt is looking to get back to full guard here but Kaia has managed to pass to side control instead.
Hunt is in a horrible position here. Kaia smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Hunt defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Kaia.

Kaia looking to secure an arm triangle but Hunt defends it well.
Kaia lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Hunt has eaten all the pies!

Kaia has hold of Hunt's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hunt manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kaia unloads with some shots from mount but Hunt bucks and avoids them well.

Hunt tries to control Kaia's body but Kaia pushes him off. Hunt squirms to his side and now Kaia has his back!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kaia has the hooks in. Hunt is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Kaia is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Hunt has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kaia working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Kaia has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
