Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cyrus Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Romain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cyrus Castro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eric Romain!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romain wants to clinch up but Castro keeps it at a distance.

Castro darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Romain pushes Castro off looking to stand but Castro dives back in and keeps control.

Romain looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Romain is in trouble now - Castro has advanced to mount!
Romain tries to hold on but Castro pushes him away.

Castro is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Romain can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Romain tries to lock up and control but Castro gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Romain is looking to improve his position but Castro isn't that keen on the idea.

Castro is working for a guillotine from mount but Romain frees his head quite easily.
Romain really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Castro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Romain tries to buck Castro off but he can't manage it.

Castro has hold of Romain's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Romain manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Castro lands a big shot there that rocks Romain but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Romain is working to get back to half guard.

Romain tries to reverse the position but Castro maintains control.

Castro is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Romain is surviving well by controlling Castro's body position as best he can.

Romain drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Romain wanted to stand there but Castro had control of the position.

Romain sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Castro doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Romain paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Castro - great work!
