The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jessifer gets the takedown into side control.
Car tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Jessifer presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Car's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Car is squirming around, avoiding Jessifer's attempts to control the action.

Car wants to control but Jessifer is having none of it.

Car escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Car shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jessifer as he jumps to the side.

Car drives through and clinches with Jessifer against the cage.

Car postures up in Jessifer's guard and throws a big left but Jessifer blocks it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Car accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jessifer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Car defends well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jessifer is not content to let Car control the position.
Jessifer tries to improve position but can't.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Jessifer tries for a takedown but Car sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Car's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Car wants to clinch.
Car tries to clinch there but Jessifer circles away.

Car tries to pull guard but Jessifer holds him up against the cage and eventually Car drops back down to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A right handed body shot lands from Car.
Jessifer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Jessifer gets underhooks to prevent Car's takedown attempt.
Car wants to break the clinch but can't.

Car breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Car closes the distance and pushes Jessifer back into the cage.

Car shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jessifer but Jessifer pushes him off and we're back to square one.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
