Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and darcy mcphearson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
mcphearson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Owens sprawls well. Owens wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. mcphearson gets slowly back to his feet.
Owens displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from mcphearson.
mcphearson closes the distance and clinches up with Owens, looking for a takedown. mcphearson pushes Owens against the cage but Owens circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Owens looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks mcphearson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
