Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hecor ZIG (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Hecor ZIG has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cane throws out a loose jab but ZIG uses good head movement to avoid it.
ZIG throws a solid leg kick but Cane takes the impact on his shin and smiles at ZIG.
ZIG swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
ZIG lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Cane looks for a takedown but ZIG sprawls well.
Cane shoots in for a double leg but ZIG sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

ZIG shoots in and bounces Cane off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
ZIG wants to stand and escape but instead Cane has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

ZIG sneaks out the side door and pushes Cane away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

That was a close round but I would say that Hecor ZIG will probably get the nod.

ZIG throws a series of punches but Cane moves out of range.
Hecor ZIG is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
ZIG scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cane doesn't seem bothered though.

Cane closes the distance and clinches up with ZIG, looking for a takedown. Cane pushes ZIG against the cage but ZIG circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cane ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cane no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Cane shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as ZIG sprawls well. ZIG wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cane gets slowly back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Austin Cane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

ZIG is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Cane is controlling him well.

Cane lands a decent elbow from side control.
ZIG bucks up and tries to throw Cane off but instead Cane has got his back!
Cane is looking to control ZIG but ZIG is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Cane might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control ZIG kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
ZIG is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Cane is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. ZIG is defending well though. Cane let's go of the attempt for now.

ZIG is trying to shake Cane off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Cane won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.
ZIG throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cane's waist but Cane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing ZIG off to one side.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

ZIG pushes Cane away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Cane gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
