PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kane Robbins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jones Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker has chosen DMX - Get It On The Floor ft. Swizz Beatz as his entrance music. Robbins has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Kane Robbins has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kane Robbins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jones Walker!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walker closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Robbins did well to prevent Walker getting side control.

Robbins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Robbins is breathing heavily.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Robbins is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Walker has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Walker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Walker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Walker takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Robbins is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Robbins has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Walker has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Robbins's body.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Walker's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones Walker dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Robbins misses with a series of wild punches.
Walker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Walker circles away from the clinch attempt.

Walker feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Robbins wants to stand and escape but Walker is having none of it.
Robbins is wriggling around but Walker manages to pass to half guard.
Robbins tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Walker manages to move to mount!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jones Walker just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Walker clinches.

Robbins's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Robbins is looking to escape.

Walker happy to just control the position for now.

Jones Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Walker remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Robbins trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Kane Robbins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jones Walker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Walker winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
