PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Justus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Stuckler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Justus comes to the ring accompanied by Release Yo Delf - Method Man. Stuckler has chosen Vicarious by Tool as his entrance music. King Justus could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Sean Stuckler's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, King Justus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sean Stuckler!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Stuckler.

Stuckler looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Justus is trying to stand.
Justus wants to improve his position but Stuckler is controlling well.
Stuckler thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Justus's head.

Justus is defending against the submission attempts here by Stuckler.
Stuckler working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Justus trying to control but Stuckler postures up.
Justus is looking for a sweep. Stuckler is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Stuckler is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Justus has managed to free his arm - good work.
Justus is trying to stand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Stuckler is looking for submissions but instead, Justus has regained full guard.
Stuckler stopping the sweep attempt from Justus.

Stuckler postures up in Justus's guard and throws a big left but Justus blocks it.
Stuckler trying to control the position from guard on top but Justus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Justus gets a clinch.

Justus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Justus misses with a head kick.
Stuckler uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Justus.
Justus stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Justus wants it to stay on the feet.
Stuckler takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Stuckler looks gassed!
Stuckler ducks right into an uppercut from Justus.


It looks like Sean Stuckler has been cut.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Justus lands a big uppercut and Stuckler crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Stuckler looks OK. Justus waves Stuckler back to his feet!


Stuckler is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Justus rushes Stuckler and presses him up against the ropes.
Stuckler is still on wobbly legs! Can Justus finish him?

Justus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Justus gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Justus lands a knee to the head.

Justus breaks from the clinch.
King Justus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Justus has managed to clinch.

Stuckler seems to have recovered his senses.

Justus content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Justus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Justus wants to clinch up but Stuckler keeps it at a distance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Justus tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Stuckler paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Stuckler looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Justus is fending him off so far but Stuckler persists. Nope, Justus circles away and we're back to standing.
Justus changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Justus wants to clinch up but Stuckler keeps it at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Justus wants to clinch.
Stuckler avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stuckler wants to clinch up but Justus keeps it at a distance.
Stuckler moves away from the strike by Justus.
Justus tries to clinch there but Stuckler circles away.
Stuckler looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Justus closes the distance and clinches.
Knees in the clinch landing for Justus.
Stuckler takes a knee right on the jaw!
Justus connects with a knee to the head.

Justus breaks from the clinch.
Justus clinches but Stuckler breaks the clinch

and Stuckler counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Justus is controlling Stuckler's trapped leg to prevent Stuckler from advancing to side control.

Justus wants to get back to his feet.
Stuckler tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Justus.
Justus moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Justus manages to escape and get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Justus is looking to clinch but Stuckler is avoiding it.
Justus moves into range and connects with a jab.
Justus fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Justus checks the leg kick nicely there.

Justus lands a left and a right that send Stuckler crashing to the mat, dazed. Justus thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


That has opened up Sean Stuckler's cut even more.
Justus lands a nice shot that snaps Stuckler's head back.

Justus moves into the clinch successfully.
Justus prevents the takedown attempt.
Justus misses with a knee strike.
Justus with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Justus tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Justus wants to stall.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Justus misses with a knee to the head.
Justus is trying to break the clinch but Stuckler is controlling him.
Justus tries to circle away but Stuckler has him pinned against the ropes.
Stuckler tries for a takedown. No joy.
King Justus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Stuckler.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Stuckler has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Justus uses from the top position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Justus connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Justus tries to close the distance and clinch but Stuckler swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Justus is looking to clinch but Stuckler is avoiding it.
Justus moves in looking to clinch but Stuckler pushes him off.
King Justus is winning the standup battle so far.
Justus tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Stuckler paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Justus works the jab nicely.
Stuckler slips a straight right by Justus.
Stuckler pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Justus tries to clinch up.

Justus closes the distance and clinches.
Justus lands a nice knee to the body.
Stuckler takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Justus lands a knee to the head.
Stuckler tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Justus just stands there and leans against the ropes.
Stuckler is trying to force a seperation but Justus has the dominant position.

Stuckler gets control of Justus's arms and successfully pulls guard. Stuckler will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Justus wants to control from the top but Stuckler keeps moving.
Justus tries to free his leg and advance position but Stuckler is retaining full guard.
Stuckler controls Justus momentarily but Justus frees himself.
Justus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stuckler swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Stuckler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Justus is one step ahead there.
Stuckler striking off his back but it's not causing Justus any problems.
Stuckler wants to stand but Justus is controlling the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Justus looks to clinch

so Stuckler counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Justus is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stuckler wants to improve his position but instead Justus has moved into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Justus in particular looking to stall.
Justus seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Stuckler tries to kick Justus off but Justus keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Justus stalling.
Stuckler controlling the position for now.
Sean Stuckler has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Stuckler wants to improve his position but Justus is controlling well.
King Justus is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Stuckler throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to King Justus.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Justus, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
