Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Cheng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Godoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlos Godoy will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cheng darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Cheng moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Godoy has worked his arm free - good work by Godoy!

Cheng goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Godoy rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Cheng's guard! Nice work there by Godoy!

Cheng has his foot on Godoy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Godoy works his way back into a safe position though.

Cheng is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Godoy is just riding it out for now. Cheng eventually gives up the hold.

Cheng cracks Godoy with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cheng cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cheng can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Godoy is looking to escape.
Cheng has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
