PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott McIntyre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and One Wrassler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McIntyre comes to the ring accompanied by The Chosen One. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as One Wrassler enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Scott McIntyre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, One Wrassler!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McIntyre tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wrassler sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McIntyre somewhat.
McIntyre shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Wrassler feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
McIntyre bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wrassler's guard.
McIntyre trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

McIntyre wants to get up but he can't break Wrassler's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

McIntyre gets to his feet. Wrassler looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Wrassler is trying to control the position but McIntyre postures up.
McIntyre stays in close to Wrassler's body and controls the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Wrassler counters with a takedown into side control.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott McIntyre. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McIntyre parries the strikes from Wrassler easily there. Wrassler is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable McIntyre to escape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Horrible takedown by Wrassler or perhaps it was just good defense by McIntyre which made him look bad.

Wrassler feints and as McIntyre raises his hands in defense, Wrassler changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

McIntyre seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wrassler does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

McIntyre is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

McIntyre is trying to control the position but Wrassler postures up.

Wrassler stands up over McIntyre, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
McIntyre is trying to keep Wrassler in close.
McIntyre is really struggling to control Wrassler but he's trying to hold on to the position.

One Wrassler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

McIntyre uses his free foot to push down on Wrassler's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wrassler.

Wrassler tries to hold on but McIntyre pushes him away.
Wrassler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McIntyre. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McIntyre trying to control but he's not successful this time.
McIntyre lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Wrassler is trying desperately to improve position.

McIntyre looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
One Wrassler has got the better of the ground game so far.
McIntyre sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
McIntyre prevents Wrassler from getting the reversal.

McIntyre wants to finish this one by submission but Wrassler is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from McIntyre.
Wrassler wants to control but McIntyre is having none of it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
McIntyre tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
McIntyre avoids the attempt from Wrassler to control.
McIntyre takes Wrassler's back.
Wrassler finds himself mounted whilst avoiding strikes.
Scott McIntyre has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
One Wrassler is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
McIntyre is landing with some decent strikes but Wrassler is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

And that's the end of the fight!
Scott McIntyre showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Wrassler has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
