Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Shin Asuka!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asuka shoots in looking for a takedown. Emelianenko tries to sprawl out of it but Asuka keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Emelianenko manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Emelianenko throws out a powerful jab.
A punch lands to the side of Asuka 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Asuka fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Emelianenko avoids it really well and circles away.
Emelianenko avoids the head kick by Asuka.
Asuka is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Emelianenko.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Emelianenko throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Asuka stumbling backwards into the cage! Asuka bounces back off the cage towards Emelianenko, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Emelianenko lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Emelianenko celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Gattsu Emelianenko!
