Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Edmund Kemper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stan Savage!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kemper bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Savage is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kemper has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Savage wants to stand and escape but Kemper is having none of it.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kemper's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Savage throws a right and a left that Kemper avoids nicely.

Kemper shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Savage's guard.
Kemper wants to control from the top but Savage keeps moving.

Savage is looking to stand up but Kemper isn't so interested in that idea.

Kemper drops back looking for a leg! Savage is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Savage manages to kick Kemper off! Kemper jumps back into Savage's guard.

Kemper shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Savage is trying to defend but Kemper finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Kemper closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Savage tries to kick Kemper off but Kemper keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kemper connects with a nice short shot to Savage's temple.

Kemper is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Savage has managed to free his arm - good work.

Savage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kemper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
