Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oil Slick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slick comes to the cage accompanied by Careful With That Axe Eugene. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oil Slick!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roy Brown!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Franklyn Lucas and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slick closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brown did well to prevent Slick getting side control.
Slick throwing shots but Brown is blocking nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brown is defending against the submission attempts here by Slick.
Brown gets back to full guard.
Slick stopping the sweep attempt from Brown.
Slick wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving.
Slick makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Slick's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Slick passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Slick looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Brown is avoiding damage well.
Slick in side control lands a decent elbow.
Slick tries to advance to mount but can't.
Slick fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Slick is looking to take a break and control but Brown is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Slick cracks Brown with a big right hand but Brown just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Slick goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Brown rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Slick's guard! Nice work there by Brown!
Brown throws a big right hand that misses.
Slick pulls Brown in close to prevent any damage.

Brown postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Brown got a little sloppy there for a moment and Slick has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brown has managed to get both his arms back between Slick's legs - danger averted.

Slick had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Brown defends it easily.
Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slick swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Brown sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Slick's guard.
Slick tries to get to full guard but Brown has control of the leg.
Brown drops an elbow to the side of Slick's head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brown winds up and cracks Slick with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Slick tries to roll over but Brown keeps him under control.
Slick manages to get to full guard.
Brown landing with the ground and pound.
Slick utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Slick is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Slick manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brown manages to get himself to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oil Slick dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Brown looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Slick.

Slick swings for the body but Brown moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown tries to work over Slick's front leg with a kick but Slick checks it.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Slick.
Slick looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Brown throws the kick towards the body but Slick avoids it.

so Slick counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Slick is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brown is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Slick seems to be working for a kimura but Brown defends the submission attempt.
Oil Slick overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Slick is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Brown sees it coming and defends easily.
Brown is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Slick scores with a couple of nice shots.
Brown regains full guard. Nicely done.
Brown wants to sweep but no luck.

Slick drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Slick jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Slick tries to free his leg and advance position but Brown is retaining full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Slick is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Brown has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Slick is looking to defend but Brown has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Slick! Brown pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Slick taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Roy Brown!
