The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sheffield blocks a jab.
McCall throws a hook but Sheffield avoids it easily.
McCall misses with a straight left.
McCall misses with a series of wild punches.

Sheffield is trying hard to land a takedown here. McCall sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sheffield shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McCall is trying to defend but Sheffield finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McCall is trying to stand up here but Sheffield is controlling him well.
Sheffield is working for a kimura but McCall is defending it quite comfortably.
McCall tries to kick Sheffield off but Sheffield keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sheffield is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McCall doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sheffield.
McCall is trying to stand back up but Sheffield is controlling him
McCall knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sheffield on the ground.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
