Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Basso Toscano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez shoots for a double leg takedown but Toscano sprawls well. He's pushed Alvarez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Alvarez shoots in looking for a takedown. Toscano tries to sprawl out of it but Alvarez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Toscano manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Alvarez looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Alvarez closes the distance and clinches up with Toscano, looking for a takedown. Alvarez pushes Toscano against the cage but Toscano circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Alvarez had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Toscano is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Alvarez Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Toscano's back instead.
