Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Grant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, bat man!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

man throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Grant was covering up waiting for the punch and man finishes the takedown easily into guard.

man drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Grant dives on top into guard.
man wants to get back to his feet but Grant is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Grant is looking to work some ground and pound but man has wrist control.
man utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Grant throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Grant trying to control the position from guard on top but man is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

man has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Grant off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Grant wants to clinch.
Grant shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and man counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

man tries for a kimura but Grant is defending well.
Grant manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Grant is defending against the submission attempts here by man.
Grant tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

man is looking for a kimura here.
man looks gassed!
Grant is trying to maintain the position but man is very close to passing his half guard.
Grant is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Grant is trying to stand back up but man is controlling him

man is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Grant lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

It looks like bat man has been cut.
Grant moves in looking to clinch but man pushes him off.
Grant closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks man out cold! man corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
