The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moksova tries to clinch but Black is having none of it.
Black slaps away a takedown attempt from Moksova, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Black throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Travis Black has been cut.
Black throws a series of punches but Moksova moves out of range.
Moksova lands with a kick to the temple. Black shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Moksova lands a big head kick that sends Black tumbling to the mat! Moksova takes a step backwards and waves Black back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Black is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Black fails to land with a series of punches.
Moksova fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Black sprawls well initially but Moksova persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Moksova wants to pass the guard but Black is defending well.
Black moves into full guard.
Moksova pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Black is keeping the position for now.
Black is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Moksova is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Black scores with a couple of nice shots.
Moksova looks gassed!

Well, if Black is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Black is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Moksova has managed to free his arm - good work.
Black missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Moksova tries to kick Black off but Black keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Black is just content to waste time from the top position. Moksova takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Moksova looking to hit a scissor sweep but Black is one step ahead there.
Black is pushing down on Moksova's leg trying to pass to half guard. Moksova is fighting to maintain full guard but Black has managed to sneak the leg through.

Moksova is staying active underneath Black, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Moksova can do anything to dispel that myth.
Black takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Nice strikes from Black there.
Black slows the pace down in half guard.
Moksova has hold of Black's hands but Black slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Black moves nicely into side control.
Black is looking to take a break and control but Moksova is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Black advances to mount.
Black has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Moksova's face.
Black working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Moksova looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Black! Submission of the night perhaps?
