The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dille takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like James Dille has been cut.
Dille throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Dille throws a series of punches but Virtanen avoids them all with ease.
James Dille seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Virtanen throws a quick inside leg kick.
Dille throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Virtanen misses with a looping right.
Dille throws a nice looking combination but Virtanen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A cross from Dille lands.
A combination from Dille does no damage.

Virtanen tries to move into range but Dille moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Dille moves out of range as Virtanen strikes.
Dille stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Virtanen.

Dille looks gassed!
Dille lands with a straight right. Virtanen didn't see that one coming.
Dille misses the jab.
No joy there for Dille, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Virtanen lands with a right hand.
Dille throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Virtanen pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Virtanen moves into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dille wants to break the clinch but can't.
Dille wants to break free but Virtanen has control.
Virtanen keeps control of Dille as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Virtanen with a knee to the head.
Virtanen lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Virtanen with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Dille is trying to break the clinch but Virtanen is controlling him.
Virtanen scores with a knee to the head.
Virtanen stalls.
Virtanen can't get the takedown.
Virtanen with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Virtanen content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Virtanen connects with a nasty looking knee right to Dille's face.

Virtanen moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Good leg kick by Virtanen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Virtanen clinches with his opponent.
Dille has had enough of the clinch but Virtanen keeps him there for the moment.
Virtanen is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Virtanen lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Dille backwards.

Virtanen will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Dille up against the cage.

Virtanen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dille changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Dille misses with a series of wild punches.
Dille slips a jab from Virtanen.
Virtanen clobbers Dille with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Dille lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Virtanen at a distance.
Virtanen lands a head kick. Dille smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Virtanen cracks the inside of Dille's front leg.
Virtanen with a nice cross.

Dille is rocked!
Dille walks straight into a right hand from Virtanen - that's dropped him! Virtanen jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Dille from any more punishment! Dille complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
