The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
lomax shoots in but dudley avoids the takedown attempt easily.

lomax is going olschool here, as he tries to force dudley to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so dudley shrugs it off.

lomax is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. dudley defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

dudley is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if lomax gets his way!

lomax is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. lomax gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. lomax gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. lomax apologises and we restart here on the feet.

dudley shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than dudley was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
