The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Scott.
Scott just misses with a punch to the body.
Scott takes a swing at Gracie's ribcage but misses.
Scott connects with a single shot there.
Scott avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Gracie dives in and grabs Scott's left leg, looking for a takedown. Scott pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.

Scott feints and as Gracie raises his hands in defense, Scott changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Scott can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Scott wants to take a breather but Gracie is having none of it.

Scott wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working.

Scott is working for a kimura but Gracie is defending it quite comfortably.
Scott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gracie is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Scott's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Scott's back!

Gracie has his arm under Scott's chin here. Game over son! Gracie squeezes tightly and Scott is forced to tap out!
