The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Simpson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Simpson lunges at Vatali with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Vatali's hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Vatali throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Simpson's waist but Simpson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vatali off to one side.

Simpson sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Vatali's defenses. It connects perfectly with Vatali's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
