The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slabinac throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Kimura gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kimura being controlled here, momentarily.
Slabinacis looking to pass into half guard but Kimura pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Kimura is in guard.
Kimura trying to control the position from guard on top but Slabinac is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Slabinac looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Slabinac bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kimura's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Slabinac passes Kimura's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Slabinac wants to pass to mount but Kimura is defending the position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Slabinac looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Slabinac works his way into side control.
A lull in the action here as Slabinac stalls from top position.
Kimura tries to improve position but can't.

Slabinac has hold of Kimura's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kimura tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Slabinac cranks the arm and Kimura screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kimura, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
