The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo swinging wilding here.

Kweli shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Aldo is trying to defend but Kweli finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Aldo tries to roll over but Kweli keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kweli wants to free his trapped foot but Aldo is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Aldo is looking to control Kweli's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Aldo avoid being mounted?
Kweli throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Kweli wants to pass the guard but Aldo is defending well.

Kweli is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Aldo is just riding it out for now. Kweli eventually gives up the hold.

Aldo wants to control but Kweli is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Kweli passes to side control.
Aldo is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kweli has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aldo is trying to get back to half guard.
Kweli in side control, throwing shots but Aldo defends.
Kweli working the ground and pound but Aldo is defending the strikes.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kweli is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Aldo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Aldo tries to bench press Kweli off him but Kweli keeps the position.

Kweli goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Aldo has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kweli but great work by Aldo.
Kweli tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Aldo wants to stand but Kweli is controlling his arm.

Aldo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Kweli's shoulder. That is not cool.
Kweli gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Kweli is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Aldo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Aldo's back!

Aldo tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Kweli working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Aldo looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Kweli! Submission of the night perhaps?
