Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fatty McFat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tapani Saha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McFat comes to the cage accompanied by I'm Fat by Weird Al Yankovic. Fatty McFat has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fatty McFat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tapani Saha!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFat throws a right and a left that Saha avoids nicely.
Saha cracks McFat with an open hand slap.
Saha misses with a body shot.
A cross from Saha lands.


It looks like Fatty McFat has been cut.
Saha lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Saha falls off balance throwing a combination
and McFat counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Saha throws a series of punches but McFat moves out of range.

Saha lands a left and a right that send McFat crashing to the mat, dazed. Saha thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


McFat is rocked!
Saha throws a predictable looking body shot

so McFat counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Oh McFat is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Saha trying to keep a closed guard but McFat is proving a slippery customer.
McFat seems to have got his legs back now.
Saha is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McFat is controlling him.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Saha can do anything to dispel that myth.
McFat pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Saha is keeping the position for now.
McFat throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Saha avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Saha pulls McFat in close to prevent any damage.
McFat stopping the sweep attempt from Saha.
McFat trying to control the position from guard on top but Saha is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Saha lands a with a good body shot.
McFat throws a shot from downtown. Saha moves away and avoids it.
Saha misses with a double jab

and McFat counters with a nice double leg into guard.
McFat advances to half guard.
McFat has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Saha trying to get back to full guard but McFat takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
McFat landing strikes from the mount and Saha is in trouble!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Saha wants to hold on but McFat pushes him away.
A nice elbow there by McFat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Saha's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

McFat has hold of Saha's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Saha manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
A nice elbow there by McFat.
Saha is trying desperately to improve position.
McFat can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Saha is looking to escape.
McFat is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Saha can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Saha tries to hold on but McFat pushes him away.

McFat looking for a guillotine from mount but Saha is having none of it.
Saha is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Saha is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
McFat throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Saha throwing hammer fists to the chest of McFat. What's that going to do exactly?

McFat working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Saha turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips McFat off and cradles Saha's limp body as McFat celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Fatty McFat!
