Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dynamo MacKenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacKenzie comes to the cage accompanied by Shwayze - High Together. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dynamo MacKenzie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Ruiz!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiz misses with an uppercut. MacKenzie saw that one coming.
A bone on bone clash there as Ruiz blocks the leg kick.
MacKenzie takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
MacKenzie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ruiz's waist but Ruiz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing MacKenzie off to one side.
MacKenzie tries for a takedown but Ruiz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
MacKenzie misses with a two punch combination.
Ruiz stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.


It looks like Dynamo MacKenzie has been cut.
Dynamo MacKenzie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ruiz takes a swing at MacKenzie's ribcage but misses.
MacKenzie shoots in for a takedown but Ruiz shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dynamo MacKenzie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ruiz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
MacKenzie tries to clinch but Ruiz moves out of range.
MacKenzie is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ruiz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
MacKenzie fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ruiz checks it well.
Ruiz checks the leg kick nicely there.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from MacKenzie is defended easily by Ruiz.
Horrible takedown by MacKenzie or perhaps it was just good defense by Ruiz which made him look bad.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ruiz fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
MacKenzie is breathing heavily.

Ruiz lands a left and a right that send MacKenzie crashing to the mat, dazed. Ruiz thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


MacKenzie is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fight stays on the outside here - MacKenzie looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Oh MacKenzie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ruiz lands with a big right hook that stumbles MacKenzie - he's out on his feet here! Ruiz follows up with another monster hook that separates MacKenzie from consciousness! MacKenzie falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Ruiz stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Carlos Ruiz!
