Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kai Wong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wong comes into the arena with Pompeii Nights blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wong moves into range and clinches up with Thompson.
A nice right hand lands inside from Wong.
Thompson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Thompson is trying to break the clinch but Wong is controlling him.

Thompson breaks the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A knee to the head by Wong.

It looks like Max Thompson has been cut.
Wong connects with a knee to the head.
Wong with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Thompson tries for a takedown but Wong manages to get underhooks.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Wong misses with a knee to the head.
Wong lands an elbow inside.
Thompson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Wong crunches a lovely knee into Thompson's ribcage.
Thompson looks gassed!

Wong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Thompson.
Thompson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wong.
Thompson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wong circles away quickly and effectively.
Thompson takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wong throws a head kick but Thompson moves out of range.
Thompson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Thompson somewhat.

Wong lands a big head kick that sends Thompson tumbling to the mat! Wong takes a step backwards and waves Thompson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

That has opened up Max Thompson's cut even more.

Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Wong throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Thompson is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
