Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grizzly Gulag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dog Gamma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gulag misses with an attempted mid kick.
Gamma tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gulag sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gamma somewhat.
A head kick misses from Gulag.
Gulag cracks the inside of Gamma's front leg.
Gulag throws a head kick that misses.
Gulag throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Gulag tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Gamma feints and as Gulag raises his hands in defense, Gamma changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gamma would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Gamma throws and elbow that misses. Gulag uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gamma's guard. Nice move by Gulag!
Gamma wants to sweep but no luck.
Gulag pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gamma is keeping the position for now.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Gulag lands a head kick!
Grizzly Gulag is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gulag throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Gamma feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gamma postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gulag is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gamma, into his guard.
Gamma is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Gulag wants to get up but he can't break Gamma's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Gulag postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gamma is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gulag, into his guard.
Gamma looking to sit in guard and control but Gulag gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Gamma controls Gulag momentarily but Gulag frees himself.

Gamma is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gulag is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Gamma is trying to keep Gulag in close.
Gulag seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Grizzly Gulag dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Gulag throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Gulag's corner calls for a 1-2. Gulag obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Gulag lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Gulag stuffs the takedown attempt from Gamma. Gamma gets slowly back to his feet.
Gulag pivots, looking for a leg kick but Gamma is out of range and Gulag settles back down.
Grizzly Gulag seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gulag lands with a kick to the temple. Gamma shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Gulag tries to score with a low kick but Gamma moves his leg out of the way.
Dog Gamma is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Gamma scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Gamma wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gulag keeps working.
Gamma might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gulag kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Gamma is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Gulag!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gamma throws a strike there. Gulag manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.

Gamma is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Gamma is thwarting Gulag's attempts to control the position.
Gamma thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gulag's head.

Gamma is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gulag doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gamma.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gulag bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gamma's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gulag advances to half guard.

Gamma is in trouble now - Gulag has advanced to mount!

Gulag is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Gamma is forced to tap! Great finish!
