Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between grappler champion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Webster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, grappler champion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Webster!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from champion as Webster shoots in.

champion changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Webster looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Webster is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Webster is trying to control champion's posture but champion avoids it.
champion trying to control the position but Webster is working away.
Webster wants to control but champion postures up.

champion is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Webster knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Webster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with champion. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

You can see the frustration on Webster's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Webster can do anything to dispel that myth.

Webster is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of champion's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take champion's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Webster doesn't have the hooks in and champion manages to turn into his guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
