Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thiago Alves!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves connects with the punch.
A jab from Alves finds it's way through Hammer's defenses.
Hammer misses with a looping right.
Good exchange - Alves coming out on top.
Alves throws a right and a left that both miss.
Alves is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Hammer closes the distance and pushes Alves back into the cage.

Alves manages to break the clinch.
Hammer is looking to clinch but Alves is avoiding it.
Hammer takes one to the chin there.
Hammer slips under a jab from Alves.
Alves thuds his right hand into Hammer's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Alves tries to bum rush Hammer with a series of wild strikes but Hammer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hammer fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hammer wants to clinch up but Alves keeps it at a distance.
Alves looks to score with a jab to the body but Hammer is just out of range.
Alves rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hammer moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Alves.
Hammer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Alves's waist but Alves gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hammer off to one side.
Hammer throws a big shot that misses.
Hammer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alves paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hammer takes a jab right on the kisser.
Alves swinging wilding here.
Hammer lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hammer tests Alves's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hammer thows a body shot but no joy.

Hammer misses with a takedown attempt - Alves sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Alves is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Hammer is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Alves.
Alves swats away the attempt to clinch by Hammer.
Alves throws an overhand right that lands on Hammer's shoulder, as Hammer tries to avoid the shot.
Alves throws a head kick that half lands.

Hammer is rocked!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Hammer loses concentration momentarily and Alves pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Hammer crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Alves finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
