The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cocoa throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Cocoa swats away the attempt to clinch by Griffin.

Griffin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cocoa.

Cocoa fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Griffin lands a nice shot that snaps Cocoa's head back.
Cocoa tries to land a front kick but Griffin steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Cocoa avoids a punch combination nicely.

It looks like Peter Griffin has been cut.

A decent looking cross lands there for Griffin.

Griffin connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Griffin tries to clinch but Cocoa moves out of range.
Peter Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cocoa feints and as Griffin raises his hands in defense, Cocoa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Cocoa seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Cocoa drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Griffin dives on top into guard.
Griffin's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Griffin postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Griffin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cocoa is keeping the position for now.
Griffin won't allow Cocoa to sweep him here.

Cocoa has his foot on Griffin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Griffin works his way back into a safe position though.

Cocoa is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Griffin is sitting in close to Cocoa's body. Cocoa has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Griffin is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Griffin is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Cocoa.
