Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tazwar Masood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thor Hushovd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masood comes to the cage accompanied by The Pakistan National Anthem. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Thor Hushovd!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hushovd displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Masood throws out the jab.
Masood will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hushovd steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Masood.
Hushovd throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hushovd tries to bum rush Masood with a series of wild strikes but Masood uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Masood scores with a nice head shot.
Tazwar Masood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Masood scores with the left hand. Hushovd knows he should have avoided that one.
Hushovd shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Masood as he jumps to the side.
Masood fails to land with a series of punches.
Masood comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hushovd dives in and grabs Masood's left leg, looking for a takedown. Masood pushes down on Hushovd's head and hops out.
Hushovd avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Hushovd throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Masood's waist but Masood gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hushovd off to one side.
Tazwar Masood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thor Hushovd.

Hushovd tries to score a body lock takedown but Masood shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Hushovd's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hushovd is looking to break free of the clinch but Masood has double underhooks.
Masood is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Masood throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Hushovd escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Masood looks to score with a jab to the body but Hushovd is just out of range.
Hushovd throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Hushovd decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Masood's guard.

Masood has his hands on Hushovd's head, controlling the position.
Hushovd loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Hushovd wants to pass the guard but Masood is keeping the position.
Masood has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hushovd postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Masood is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hushovd, into his guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hushovd is on top in guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hushovd's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Masood stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hushovd swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Masood lands a with a good body shot.
Hushovd avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Masood misses with a few strikes there.
Masood dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Hushovd wants to break the clinch but can't.

Masood will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Hushovd up against the cage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hushovd takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Masood throws a right hand that Hushovd ducks under and follows up with a left that Hushovd also avoids with ease.
Hushovd takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Masood throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hushovd.
